Tess Julian, Chief Executive Officer
Tess has worked in the area of organisational innovation for the past 15 years, both in her own company and in partnership with leading companies. She spent six years with InnovationXchange (IXC) implementing systems for Open Innovation both here and internationally. She is now concentrating on building innovation capability in organisations, big and small, public and private, and is developing and implementing people-based innovation in a range of businesses and across a number of industries.
Tess believes that innovation is all about people, and she helps companies provide the opportunity, ability and motivation for employees to use their ideas to make the enterprise a great workplace and a good business.
Acknowledged as an expert facilitator, Tess runs interactive and practical sessions in innovation skills, and innovation leadership. Her model is based on collaborative research into skills and behaviours commissioned by government for use in the formal training system.
In the light of her ongoing practical experience with organisations, Tess constantly reviews and refreshes her ideas and the model, so it continues to reflect best practice internationally.

Allan Ryan, Executive Director
Allan Ryan is an educator and facilitator who enables organisations, both here in Australia and internationally, to deliver real competitive advantage through innovation. He works across all sectors, private and public, small and large, to ensure that accelerated performance and increased shareholder value are the results of an organisation's innovation effort.
After extensive research and work with organisations both nationally and globally, Allan determined that successful innovation is a vital part of driving growth, today and in the future. He works with companies to develop a managed and detailed approach that delivers innovation comprising insight, idea generation and implementation with an international focus. This balance of rigour and relevance, discipline and creativity delivers both incremental and disruptive value-added change.
His experience spans fast-moving consumer goods, building, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, paper industry, telecommunications, government and service companies. He provides consulting and coaching advice on organisation-wide growth and performance initiatives.
Allan's experience has led him to develop 123 Innovate©, The Quest for Growth program, the Managed Innovation Organisation Audit, Dimensional Thinking, GATE ZERO® methodology for new product development and the Five Star Meeting Program.
In addition to being the Executive Director of Catalyst Exchange, Allan is also founder and Executive Director of Hargraves Institute, Executive Director of Managed Innovation International and Adjunct Professor, UTS Business School.
(Catalyst Exchange has grown out of the Hargraves Institute and the experiences of Hargraves members who are leaders in innovation across Australia.)

Lynn Morris, Office Coordinator & Online Communications Manager
Lynn has been with Catalyst Exchange since the beginning of 2014.
Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, Lynn started her career in the secretarial and administration sector but, after five years, decided it was time for a change of scenery, so matriculated at Edinburgh’s Napier University where she graduated with distinction in Publishing.
A move to London immediately followed, taking up roles such as Copywriter at DMG Business Media Ltd, Text Preparer & Proofreader at Websters Multimedia, working on Microsoft Encarta (a digital multimedia encyclopedia), Content Planning Manager at Yell Ltd and Managing Editor of www.yell.com (the UK’s online Yellow Pages), again with Yell Ltd. Lynn moved to Australia in 2005 and prior to Catalyst Exchange, was Campaign Development Manager at global mystery shopping company ShopAngels.
Lynn brings with her a wealth of experience particularly in all things editorial, marketing, project management, content management and strategy and social media.
Based at Catalyst Exchange’s head office, Lynn ensures the smooth operation of the office and administrative functions, processes and procedures. Having developed an in-house style guide, Lynn ensures all documentation created at Catalyst Exchange is polished, consistent and true to our brand. She has driven the development of the Catalyst Exchange logo, brand and new website, and has been the driving force behind our migration to the cloud. Lynn is Catalyst Exchange’s advocate in social spaces, and responsible for developing and implementing our social media strategy.
To keep abreast of the fast-paced world of digital, Lynn is currently studying a postgraduate diploma in digital marketing.
